Join the Money Team!

We are a financial empowerment publication by young adults for young adults. Are you a high school student and between the ages of 16-18? Do you love to write and have your opinion heard? Are you always on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter and Snapchat? Do you keep up with what's trending around the world?

We Need YOU!

We are looking for:

Writers/Bloggers, Photographers, Videographers, and Social Media Managers!

*Prior experience not required but preferred

At On the Money, you will work as a journalist and photographer to write about financial literacy and entrepreneurship. You'll have a chance to write articles that help others learn about finance, start their own businesses and save money. The magazine will be great for your college portfolio, too.

About the Internship

At On the Money, you will participate in a Part-Time Internship (Paid). Summer Internship hours are 4-5 days (Mon.-Thurs. and some Saturdays) per week from 10am-4pm. This Summer position will offer up to 30 hours per week. Fall Internship hours are 2 days (Mon. & Wed. or Tues. & Thurs.) per week after school, from 3:30-6:30pm. This Fall position is about 6-10 hours per week.

*Some Saturdays are required. You will be informed in advance for scheduling.

You will participate in financial literacy courses, media related workshops such as Intro to Blogging, Journalism, Photography, Media Law, and more! Every intern will write at least one article for our print magazine that is distributed to high schools across St. Louis. We are looking for motivated students who are creative, engaged and ambitious. Is that you?

Right now, we can only hire students from St. Louis Public Schools (SLPS). If you live in the county, know that we are working on changing that.

Why working here is cool...

"Not only did I get to make a difference by writing about topics relevant to youth in the St. Louis community, I had the opportunity to work in an environment that allowed me to creatively express my ideas and use all of my skills."

-Emil, SLUH Grad, Yale University Freshman, Summer 2015 team

"This is a great job where I get to gain valuable Journalism experience. It’s like hands-on training combined with a college internship. And the work that I do makes me feel important and in turn makes me love what I do."

-Dominique, Gateway STEM grad, STLCC student
