Malaika Charrington is a mature, financially focused 15-year-old attending Metro Academic and Classical High School. She enjoys taking photos of beautiful and inspiring sceneries, blessing her school by playing team sports, and reading a wide variety of books. Malaika contributes to On the Money Magazine with her love for photography and great writing skills. In return, she hopes to gain powerful connections in the business world, as well as experience in interviewing others successfully. She takes initiative to lead a good life as a young adult because in 5 years she sees herself as an independent, financially stable adult expanding her education in a college setting. She wants to reach her goal of being a financial inspiration by earning money from doing something she enjoys in life. She is undecided in her career path, and hopes that On the Money will guide her in the direction she wants to go. If she had $50,000, she would buy many things for her family. Malaika’s family has been a big part of her growth. Also, with the $50,000, she would love to have camera attachments, as well as a computer, phone and a plethora of books. With the remaining money, she plans to split for donations and savings. Malaika says that if she could put anyone on the dollar, she would like to see Oprah on it because she’s an inspiration to all. Malaika is honored to be a part of On the Money magazine.
