7 Affordable Spring Break Trip Destinations for High Schoolers on a Budget

                Spring break is here or right around the corner for high school students! There  are plenty of cheap vacation spots to go to as a group or with your family! We’ve rounded up 7 beautiful places for students to travel to inside or out of the U.S. These destinations vary from cost, distance, and things to do. For someone who doesn’t plan on spending much and traveling far, you can always drive, take the bus, or a train to your destination. Also, click here for more travel help! If you’re looking for a spot outside of the U.S., there are many flights available at a low cost. All listed destinations are located on the beach where teens can enjoy being in the sun, go swimming, party, and have fun on their time off!

Here in the States

1.Daytona Beach, Florida:  During spring break, Daytona is usually filled with students looking for parties around its beautiful beach and boardwalk! Daytona has cheap hotels going for $40 at the Kayak. Can’t beat a price like that!

2.Myrtle Beach, South Carolina: Not only does Myrtle Beach have a white sandy beach, but it also has a live DJ music scene and amusement park! The hotels in the area have prices that range from $80-$100, but if you’re still looking for something a little less expensive, try the ocean front motels for only $50!

3.South Padre Island, Texas: South Padre is a great destination for awesome partying and music! This year  David Guetta is believed to perform there! What more could you ask for besides the estimated $50 hotel rooms?!

Outside of the U.S.

4.Puerto Viejo, Costa Rica: Costa Rica is one of the most popular tourist destinations in the world! It is a great place for adventure if you like water rafting, waterfall rappelling, and zip lining. In order to see the gorgeous beaches here as well, you’ll have to book now in order to get a deal for $300-$400.

5.Ocho Rios, Jamaica: By going to Ochos Rios, you’ll have plenty of opportunities to experience new things! If you’re a nature lover, you’ll get to experience the clear water, tropical mountain ranges, and clean beaches unlike anywhere else. You can also do things like rent an ATV, go horseback riding, white river kayaking, and hit up Margaritaville where you can party all you want! In order to fly to the island, your tickets will cost around $200-$300.

6.St. Croix, U.S. Virgin Islands: One thing you won’t have to worry about when coming to the Virgin Islands is your passport if you are a U.S. citizen! This destination offers amazing beaches and deals for both flying and hotels. If you do your research you can find a roundtrip flight for only $250!

7.Cancun, Mexico:Cancun is a very well-known destination for young students to go to for the live music festivals you will never forget! Because of the cheap motels and flights, hundreds come to Cancun to spend their time off.  You can find roundtrip tickets for $200 dollars.
